the Melbourne Stencil Festival is in the house again! The exhibition of Australian and international street art by more than 60 artists opens its doors with a

OPENING NIGHT PARTY
on Friday 11 May, 6-12pm
at the J-Studios Artist Community
100 Barkly St., North Fitzroy

Live music by the 'Melbourne Beat Cartel' and DJ's, a raffle with great prices, a licensed bar and a outstanding variaty of unique artworks from around the world. This year the Stencil Festival also features the special exhibition 'Drawing Fancy - a Collection of Modern Illustration'.

The Melbourne Stencil Festival is again spiced up with some exciting and interesting events, like panel discussion, live spraying, workshops, film nights etc.

Street Art Poetry Jam
Sat 12 & Sun 13 May, all day

Street artists and poets are invited to participate in a free workshop with the brasilian artist Celso and poet Rica P from the Sprays Poeticos Collective, Sao Paulo. Street art and poetry are closer than you think ...

Stencil Master Classes
Tue 15 May, 6-9pm (with Satta)
Wed 16 May, 6-9pm (with Empire & Paicey)

Learn from experienced artists how to design and create a stencil.
Only limited places available, $60 admission fee (materials included).

Charity Auction
Sun 20 May 4.30pm

Local and interstate artists will create unique collaboration canvasses during the festival. Those works will be auctioned by Andrew Gaynor -- a Melbourne Stencil Festival regular and favorite!
The proceeds of the charity auction will go to YSAS, Youth Substance Abuse Service in Fitzroy
